THE JOURNEY

Biography

Dr. Alicia C. Perry founded Three Seeds with a clear vision: to heal the silent struggles of African American women. Her journey began with over 20 + years ago, witnessing firsthand the systemic gaps in culturally responsive mental health care. After leading numerous community health initiatives, she identified that true healing requires a holistic framework—mental, educational, and economic.

Under her leadership, Three Seeds has grown from a local support group into a multi-faceted organization reaching thousands. Alicia's unwavering advocacy has positioned her as a thought leader in equitable wellness, speaking at national conferences and collaborating with policy makers to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility for underserved populations.

Key Milestones

  • 2015: Launched Three Seeds Organization
  • 2017: Founded 'Sista Circles' community program
  • 2021: Recipient of the  Champion of Diversity Award
  • 2024: Earned Doctorate in Education-Counseling/Psychology
  • 2024: Expanded services to include economic empowerment grants

My vision is for a world where every woman possesses the agency to heal her own story. At Three Seeds, we aren't simply addressing systemic gaps; we are cultivating a thriving ecosystem of mental health support, education, and economic empowerment. By centering the lived experiences of African American women, we foster resilience that echoes through generations, building a future defined by collective health and shared prosperity.
